Syringomas are small, harmless, flesh-coloured or slightly yellowish bumps that most commonly appear around the lower eyelids and upper cheeks.
Suitable syringomas can be treated using Advanced Electrolysis, with treatment carefully adapted to the size, number and location of the blemishes and the sensitivity of the surrounding skin.

What are syringomas?
Syringomas are benign growths that develop from the sweat ducts within the skin. They usually appear as small, firm bumps and are most commonly found around the eyes, although they can occasionally occur elsewhere.
They often appear in clusters and may become more noticeable over time. Syringomas are harmless and don’t normally cause discomfort, but some people choose to have them treated because they would prefer them to be less visible.
Because other concerns such as milia and xanthelasma can also appear around the eye area, I’ll assess the skin carefully at your consultation before recommending treatment.

TREATMENT
How I treat syringoma
Suitable syringomas can be treated using Advanced Electrolysis. A very fine sterile probe and carefully controlled electrical current are used to treat the individual growths precisely, with the technique adapted to their size, depth and location.
Because syringomas often occur around the delicate eye area, treatment is carried out carefully and conservatively. Smaller areas may be treated in one appointment, while larger clusters can be better treated gradually over more than one session.

AFTER TREATMENT
What happens afterwards?
Over the next few days
Small crusts or scabs can develop over the treated areas. The skin can temporarily look worse before it begins to improve, so it’s important not to pick, rub or interfere with the healing skin.
As the skin heals
The crusting will gradually come away naturally and the newly healed skin may initially look pink before settling. Larger or more extensive areas of syringoma may need further treatment once the skin has fully healed.
Immediately after
The treated area may look red, slightly swollen or more noticeable immediately following treatment.
You’ll be given clear aftercare advice following your treatment.
Your treatment includes an aftercare product to take home, along with guidance on how to care for your skin as it heals.

A consultation is required before treatment and is charged separately at £25.
The treatment price will depend on the number, size and location of the syringomas being treated. A small number may be treated in one appointment, while larger clusters or more delicate areas around the eyes may be better treated gradually over more than one session.
